Lilith Morton
My passion for art began early, at the age of 7, when my family moved to Utah. The beauty of Zion Canyon was my first major inspiration, pushing me to read and write poetry. My biggest influences were William Blake, John Steinbeck, Emily Dickinson and Dante Alighieri.
I developed a passion for reading poems and classic literature, before drifting towards music and painting in my early teens, leaving behind Utah and moving to Tucson, AZ.
During that time I focused on improving my acoustic guitar and songwriting skills, eventually getting gigs at local venues playing my original songs.
At the age of 22 I moved to Santa Fe, NM, discovering Southwestern art that ended up being the biggest influence in my art.
I've been surrounding myself with local art and I began to develop my own painting style, a post impressionistic fusion style born from a life of travels, unique
experiences and continuous exposure to fellow artists' work, like paintings, music and novels.
My paintings are about me and my inner world. They also represent the realms of unconsciousness we all share.
I sold a few pieces to private collectors in US and Canada and my work is on exhibition at Dream Catchers Gallery in Colorado Springs, Co.
Besides painting I still enjoy writing music, my goal is to continue focusing on my growth as an artist.
Thank you for your time,
