Painting Style:
I use brushes and my bare hands to paint with, using my hands like a brush most of the time.
Blue Shade 014
This painting is dedicated to Amy Winehouse, who has been the inspiration behind my music, writing, and art. "Blue Shade" is named after her lyrics
in "Tears Dry On Their Own."
"He walks away, the sun goes down He takes the day but I'm gone And in your way my blue shade My tears dry on their own."

Gone Fishing 006
After moving to Santa Fe I missed Arizona a great deal, but took comfort in the beauty of New Mexico, so as I adapted to my surroundings I painted them.

Drowning People 001
Smearing a bunch of acrylic paint on a canvas, this was my very first painting I did when I was 17. Inspired by the artist Frida Kahlo after watching the movie Frida,
it woke in me a fascination of art. This painting depicts 2 dual personalities struggling to survive within a fragile outer shell.
Initially I wanted to paint a mountain side, but instead I saw the potential for an ocean and went with the idea and took it to the next level, creating both, depending on which aspect you're looking from.
Desolation 002
Like most of my paintings I just started painting with no intention or picture intended. Eventually the paints take me where I need to go and I paint what I see in the combination of the colors presented.
Scattered Like Me 003
This painting was inspired by the anime cartoon "Cowboy Bebop", it is a painting of Edward running away as she did in one of the episodes.
Junkyard Angel 035
This is a painting that also came to me in a dream. The dream was that of me painting this particular piece in my room. When I awoke I drew a sketch of what I painted in my dream in my notebook. Then proceeded to paint "Junkyard Angel" looking at the sketch for reference.

LA 031
A chain-link fence sometimes being a constant theme of mine, it represents a divided nature. This painting started out just with the fence then I took it from there creating disturbing imagery that reflects the hidden animosity of the city.
Wartime In Spring 027
A canary is shown flying out of the broken building shards. This canary represents the spirit of the ruin. The army leaves behind a chaotic scene of destroyed buildings in its endeavor to take control. This is a potrayal of the wastefulness of war.

Midnite Express 033
A painting of mere coincidence. Finished in a day. I wiped my hands on a canvas and it created the image of a speeding train.
Amazon 024
This painting is my favorite. The inspiration came on when I bought a used canvas to paint over. The original painting was that of a puppy and a kitten.
With my guard down I glanced at the painting and I saw in the eyes of the puppy and kitten the eyes of a blond woman, the picture faded into that of only hazelnut eyes staring back at me, and the face of a beautiful blond woman appeared. I envisioned the background a little different but was
very pleased with the outcome. I smeared my oil paints allover the canvas using my hands, finishing the painting in a day.
A depiction of an independent strong woman warrior, connected with the etiological tradition that Amazons had their right breast cut off or, burnt off.
This painting is that of a beautiful one-breasted woman. Showing the beauty in strength as she poses in confidence.
Field of Green 007
Like poetry sometimes you don't know where the inspiration or idea comes from, I just wanted to paint a tree with three heads, I liked the idea. It also reminded me of a dream I once had just couldn't remember. Like a feeling you've seen this before even though you never have.

The Scarlet Lady 008
Inspired by the works of the artist Patrick Nagel. I made my own attempt at one of his paintings.

Girl With Balloons 005
I painted myself in the obscurity, faded, hard to see. Unable to hold on to life's simple joys, making the balloon strings barely visible.

Muddy Tracks 034
The starlight unfolds the beauty beyond the fence. Night has fallen and all that remains is the desolation of the city that is depicted far away.
The theme of this painting is alienation.
Apocalypse 032
A lonely pasture with a church, this painting represents loneliness and faith. It's a self-representational piece.
Lone Farmer 030
Also painted on a self made canvas using a frame and canvas fabric, I start painting with no particular idea or design an mind, letting the imagery take me wherever it may go. The desolation of the cornfield is why this painting is called "Lone Farmer". Inspired by loneliness.
Cosmopolitan 025
This painting came to me in a dream, I saw it hanging on my wall. When I awoke, I started painting. Trying to capture every little detail of the painting I dreamt.

Monastery 028
Moved by the works of Dante and William Blake, I showed the world in a Medieval aspect, depicting monks outside of a monastery.

Plateau 026
After spending a few weeks in Colorado I witnessed people take pride in hunting animals. So I painted a man killing a duck for sport. Stolen innocence is the theme of this painting.

Archer Paradox 017
The queen in her castle signifies authority and the power they hold. The archer shooting at the target that resembles a human skeleton represents our nature to kill, whether the target is a shooting range, an animal, or human. The angel of death is shown in the lower right hand corner praying for the death of the target as the devil rises up from the tree for he usually resides where killing is present.
Subterranean Night 022
An underground world where the dead roam throughout eternity. It isn't Hell, but not far from it. The souls that are shown in this painting are forever tormented, binded by invisible chains of darkness.

Sickness 020
A depiction of a visionary. The man in the painting is attempting to watch the television, but is distracted by the image of a dead angel.

Urban Massacre 018
The man jumping off the building is supposed to signify suicide whereas the field behind the city/fence is supposed to represent desolation and murder. The pig man represents basic human nature. It's a dark illustration of the madness hiding behind the city streets.

Withdrawn 021
This was the first canvas I ever built. It was an experiment that was a success. I used unconventional methods in constructing the canvas using screws and nails for most of it, as well as using screws to secure the actual canvas fabric onto the wood. Then proceeded to wet the canvas letting it dry on a flat surface.
I eventually started using a staple gun and was more conventional and practical about constructing my canvases. The imagery in this painting represents an outside look at a world that you're not present in.

Industrial Highway 023
Moved by the beauty of bridges and the city, I was inspired to paint San Francisco and The Golden Gate Bridge.
Hell 019
This was painting on a canvas I built using a flat piece of wood found laying in the yard and canvas fabric, unlike "Withdrawn", I used a staple gun to secure the fabric onto the wood rather than nails. This painting is a depiction of a realistic underworld, providing a perspective of the evil that resides within human nature, thus placing the possibility of entering the depths of "Hell" through death.

River 004
After I ran out of acrylic paints I started working with oil, I didn't know much about oil paints at the time and that you have to use a medium with them, so confused by the thickness and difficulty of working with the paints I just started smearing them onto the canvas using my hands as I do with all of my paintings.
The idea of the river was inclined as was the angel of death that waits by the shore. This idea was inspired by Greek mythology and the River Styx.
Santa Fe 009
After spending most of my life in Tucson, Arizona. The move to Santa Fe, New Mexico required a bit of adjusting, it was the inspiration for both this painting and "Gone Fishing".

Moon City 012
A nocturnal outlook on things. The world has a strange glow to it at night so I wanted to paint a city soley ruled by the moon.

Wasteland 016
This is a piece of fabric from my paint covered clothing. I just saw the face and decided to go further from there. Cutting out the fabric and painting the rest.

Red 010
It's my version of what the middle east has become, modernized by America thus the classical point of view presented on top above the fence, with the contrast of the capitalistic point of view on the other side of the chain-link fence. It symbolizes war and change.

Chinatown 013
In love with the idea of one day visiting Chinatown in New York I wanted to paint my version of it.

Espanola 015
After moving to the city of Santa Fe, I was surrounded by graffiti and was very moved by some of it. That's what inspired me to paint "Espanola".
